Idris has an extremely dynamic team. As an artist-run space with rotating exhibitions, the people involved in the set-up and maintenance of the space are constantly growing and shifting. Artists who take part in exhibitions work in a collaborative structure and take up a number of tasks ranging from project planning, production, and presentation assessments. At Idris we believe that each artist deserves a say not only in what is the subject and object of his/her show but also in the way artistic production is to be delivered to the audience. Therefore the gallery partners graphic designers, PR and art dealers directly with the artists in order to obtain an original and unique exhibit each month, loyal to the artists vision.
The founders of Idris Barak Rubin and Livia Tagliacozzo envision a space where contemporary artists can present their work to a wide public. The vitality in the rotation of the exhibitions allows both a wider number of contemporary artists to stage their production in the center of Tel Aviv but also represents the relentless fluidity so characteristic of contemporary art.
